THE Central Coast Academy of Sport is pleased to announce that Underwriting Agencies Australia (UAA) have increased their corporate support to include a second inaugural program with the recent confirmation of UAA as the Hockey Program’s primary partner.
UAA are also the primary partner to the recently held Indigenous Talent ID Day, an event that has had remarkable success in the two years since its inception. This most recent announcement while specific to Hockey further demonstrates the interest by UAA in supporting regional organisations and regional athletes overcome the geographical difficulties often not seen in metropolitan areas.
Michael Murphy the CEO of UAA said of this recent partnership: “UAA are pleased to be assisting the Central Coast Academy of Sport in the sport of Hockey. I have watched for many years the work of the CCAS and our first involvement was through the introduction of the Indigenous Talent ID Program. The TID program has had remarkable success and with this new opportunity UAA can leverage our initial involvement with the launch of the hockey program. UAA are committed to working in the regions where we have influence, we are delighted to be helping both the Indigenous youth and those in the sport of Hockey”.
Ian Robilliard the CCAS Managing Director said of this newest commercial partner: “UAA do a lot in the regions where they have influence and it’s great to be working with them as we build a very robust Hockey Program. Corporate support makes a significant difference to the content we are able to provide our many sports programs, it’s great that resources otherwise not available will be introduced to this fledging Hockey Program. I am confident the hockey program will be as successful as the Indigenous Program that UAA are so heavily invested”.
The Central Coast Academy of Sport UAA Hockey Program is providing opportunities for approx. twenty local athletes. The Program is supported by Hockey NSW, Central Coast Hockey and a committed and highly qualified coaching staff led by former Australian player Brett Johnson. The future of the CCAS hockey program appears to be built on a very solid footing.
