THE Central Coast Academy of Sport is pleased to announce that Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club have aligned their support to a new three-year commitment to the Central Coast Academy of Sport Golf Program.

Magenta Shores is a premium golf facility on the Central Coast, the only private golf facility in the region, Magenta Shores is focused on providing opportunities for junior golfers to enjoy the game through a partnership with the Central Coast Academy of Sport.

Magenta Shores was designed by Ross Watson, a challenging par 72-hole layout, the course was built and shaped in the famous Scottish links style. Magenta Shores is ranked No 23 by Australian Golf Digest in the 2016 Top 100 Golf Courses in Australia.

Ian Robilliard the CCAS Managing Director said of the Magenta Shores support: “Magenta Shores is a premier golf facility and to be able to offer the CCAS Golf Athletes access to one of Australia’s top golf destinations provides the program a huge lift. Our thanks to the Board and Management at Magenta Shores for supporting the athletes within the golf program. Often young golfers have restricted playing rights, so to have this opportunity provided to our organisation is greatly appreciated and very important. To see a club committed to helping younger players is fantastic and I take my hat off to them and to other clubs who have a similar focus on the development of junior players”.

Rob Hurley the General Manager of Golf at Magenta Shores said on the three year agreement: “Magenta Shores Golf and Country Club is committed to the growth of the game, and we believe aligning ourselves with the CCAS to provided access to our facility, is the first of many steps in the right direction.”
