ASF Program Revamped to Digital Age

The Central Coast Academy of Sport in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation has refined its donation platform with the introduction of electronic functionality to make ASF donations much easier.

Donations made through the ASF platform are 100% tax deductible with income raised being used to build content into the many sporting programs offered by the Central Coast Academy of Sport.

The CCAS has worked with ASF since 2008 when the CCAS’s first fund raising sub-committee was established. Income raised via ASF provides another diversified income stream to the organisation. The intent remains the same today as it did in 2008, the ASF donation program is designed for people wishing to donate to the organisation, this in turn helps the many athletes here locally on the Central Coast. Money raised is channeled into the sporting programs, camps, clinics, events offered by the CCAS, money raised helps offset the costs of involvement in programs and events such as the Your Local Club Academy Games. Every donation made via ASF is 100% tax deductible and therefore has additional appeal for people considering how to support the CCAS.

Ian Robilliard the CCAS Managing Director said of the ASF program: “Donations made via our registered project at the ASF provides the CCAS with income otherwise not available. In April this year we were able to cover expenses for our volunteer coaches who supported our squads in Newcastle as part of the staging of the Your Local Club Academy Games. Income raised through the ASF provided us the opportunity to hold a coach’s appreciation function to thank our volunteers during the games. The Australian Sports Foundation has provided us a user-friendly platform to easily capture donations that in turn flow to the CCAS. The ASF program is a good example how a not-for-profit organisation can diversity our income channels. Income diversification is a major consideration for organisations like the CCAS, especially in a tight commercial market that we continue to experience”.

Ryan Holloway the ASF National Sales & Partnership Manager said of the relationship with the CCAS: “The work done by the CCAS team in refining their fundraising activity will ensure that CCAS can access other funding means to help provide much needed support to the various programs they run and reduce costs associated with high level participation for their athletes and support staff. We look forward to continuing to work closely with CCAS on their fundraising efforts and assisting them in accessing additional funds through tax-deductible donations”.
